Building the Sustainable Citizen: Highlights from Our First GenE Session at Bidadi!
We are thrilled to share the success of PriTerra’s very first live school workshop under our Generation Earth (GenE) initiative, held at PM Shree Government Composite Junior College, Bidadi, Ramanagara Taluk!
Shifting from Climate Anxiety to Practical Action
For months, we’ve been building PriTerra’s student initiative to address a core challenge: environmental education shouldn’t create climate anxiety; it should spark practical, everyday action.
Alongside our volunteer Mr. Sanjay Kumar Gowda, we brought our 3-part cinematic and interactive module to over 60 brilliant students. Watching these young minds instantly connect the dots between the linear economy (Take-Make-Waste) and circular living was incredible. From discussing sibling hand-me-downs to rethinking single-use plastics, their enthusiasm proved that the next generation is ready for systems change.
Highlights from the Ground
-
Engaged Young Minds: The students actively participated in mapping out sustainable choices within their own daily lives, proving that eco-consciousness comes naturally when framed right.
-
Warm Community Hospitality: A heartfelt thank you to the Head Mistress, Mr. Ramesh (Kannada teacher), and the entire faculty for welcoming us so warmly, complete with a gorgeous handmade paper flower bouquet crafted by the students!
-
Planting the Seeds: Handing over our recognition certificate marked the official start of our school outreach journey in and around Bengaluru.
